I have a 2007 3500. A couple of weeks ago the illumination went out on my instrument cluster, headlight switch, and A/C climate control. I also noticed the dimmer switch function on the headlight switch doesn't function. I do have exterior lighting, but the illumination on the switch doesn't work. The gauges and all warning lights work on the cluster, but no illumination. The A/C works along with the fan speed control, but no illumination on the panel. The dimmer will control the illumination on the radio, but nothing else.

The cargo light button on the headlight switch lights up, but it will NOT turn on the cargo light.

Also, the Center High Mounted Brake Light doesn't work either.

The fog lamps do work without any issues.

I'm at a loss as to where to start to look for the issue. I did look up the wiring diagrams. I did notice that all the issues have G201 and G203 in common.

Could it be the headlight switch itself? I really don't want to replace a bunch of parts and not correct the issue.

I don't think it's the actual bulbs in the cluster because I would think they're wired in parallel so if one went out the others would still be lit. I'm also thinking the bulbs wouldn't affect the bulbs in the A/C Control panel.

I'm hoping for some feedback and suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

New switch as the switch is hardwired for the dash light.
It's a pretty cheap switch, I'm also on my second.

I ordered a new one, but I haven't installed it yet because I wanted to make sure that was the issue. It kind of threw me a bit because my headlights work. So I'm assuming the dimmer part of the switch has gone out?

I will get that installed and hopefully that will cure my woes this time around. Just when I get into a position to start working on the interior to clean it up something comes along to derail the project.

Thank you for the reply.

The headlights and taillights are on by default with a faulty switch.
Which is pretty interesting as this is a fail safe feature that not many know.

I figured that out because when I bought mine used, the headlights were on all the time, couldn't switch them off. After some investigation I found that the switch wasn't connected at all.
