2008 1/2 ????????

Seems everytime I buy a new Dodge, I have been lucky enough to buy a unit made after Jan 1st of whatever year I have bought. Am ready to buy a new one now but wonder if I should wait till after Dec 15th so the unit would be built after Jan 1..... Anyone have any thoughts or rumors to share with me before I write the check?

What is it that makes it "lucky" to have an after-January-first unit?

Seems like whenever a change is made, ie: the HO engine becoming standard or the 48RE transmission becoming available, and the 6. 7 coming out, usually occurs on production after Jan. 1st of what ever year it occurred in. That is why many year models are referred to as 1/2. like a 2004. 5 or a 2007. 5 or what ever.

Restyled '09's

Major restyling coming in the '09 model. Lower hood and extensive interior upgrades which are needed/per the magazines.

Superdave I must warn you of that method, when I was buying my 3500C&C I waited until after Jan 1 07 hoping to get more HP with the C&C. All I got was a price tag for 2000. 00 more than pre jan production

A) Blue tech diesel cost 1200. 00

B) New 6. 7 cost (was 5600. 00 post 07 6300. 00)

Just a warning, make sure of the costs before deciding

Good point. Wish I really knew or had an idea of the interior upgrades. I am opting for the DVD Nav system. Wish it would be touch screen like Chevy. Also would really love to have the large power in and out tow mirrors like Ford. Chev has them but not power in/out like Ford. But having had 3 dodge/cimmins so far, I really lean to the Cummins. Just wish Dodge was not 2 to 3 years behind the competition as far as the options go.
