Gather all available info on the new trucks here.

So far, here is the information I have:

4500/5500 - Priced guides are scheduled to be released the last week of June and ordering should open up the first of July. #ad
The first allocation should be in July and will be filled with pre-specs #ad
(about 500 nationally). The first dealer ordered allocations should come in August for late October / early November delivery if all goes well. This is a great new segment for Dodge which will be exclusive to BusinessLink dealers. #ad

2500/3500 (all cabs) - Non-priced #ad
code guides. Ordering should open first of July just as above less the pre-specs. Orders have been taking between 37 and 55 days from order to arrival.

Interesting tid-bit: it looks like they may offer a 3. 42 rear end on 3500 Mega cabs. #ad

I will email code guides by request (as long as I can keep up) if you email a request to TDRAdam@Gmail.com

I will do my best to confirm rumors as true or false, but I have very little time to research so don't expect speedy responses to such.

Adam, thanks. It seems strange, though, to offer a 3. 42 on a 3500. I would have thought the 2500!?!

08 Ordering OPEN!!!

Oo. NEWS FLASH!!!Oo.

Ordering opened TODAY (6/5/07) for 08 model vehicles (excluding Sprinter).

You can now order your 4500s and 5500s and all other trucks.

One challenge... there is no pricing. So you can order, but you will not know how much it cost. <!-- google_ad_section_end --><!-- google_ad_section_end --><!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

Hi Adam,

Is there detailed info available on the specs/changes, etc. , for the '08's ?

Or would it be a situation of ordering who-knows-what, for no telling how much? :)

OK Adam... . I called to place and order, get Rob away from what ever he's doing and give me a call... . BTW do you have a brochure on these yet... . so we get some idea of what we are ordering...

3. 42 rear?? Why would anyone want that?

Somebody who drives moslty empty in Texas at 80-85 and wants to stay below 2000 rpm (with the auto 6 speed). There's nothing wrong with having the final overdrive gear too tall for towing, and useless below 70 mph, unless you never drive that fast.

Walked into Dishman this morning and talked to my friendly salesperson... . We went to the computer and wrote the spec's on 2 new trucks..... one 5500 SLT and one 4500 Larmie... . offered to give them a 1000 deposit for the 5500 today... . salesmen went to the sales manager... who said we have a problem... the standard TDR deal is fine... 1000 back of invoice less any rebates... and 500 farm bureau were all fine...

The problem seems that Dishman doesn't have the right shop equipment in their shop to raise the trucks for service... . and the owner hasn't ordered it yet..... they are a Business Link Dealer..... but don't have all the bells and whistles yet... . SO... . no equipment upgrade, CAN'T order trucks... . or accept orders... ...

I told them have this fixed by the end of the month or I'm going to look elsewhere.....

Jelag,

I am troubled at hearing this information. We are approved and CAN order and service the trucks.

You were speaking to the retail department. Because you are a commercial customer, and you are asking about commercial vehicles, I highly recommend you come to the COMMERCIAL DEPARTMENT to get accurate, articulate information that applies to you and your specific situation.

I am in the commercial department, so come see me. Don't worry about your "friendly salesperson", they will be taken care of, just let me know who they are when you come in.

You are entitled to perks and benefits as a commercial customer, you should take advantage of them.

Whom ever wrote the post for Dishman..... you did not sign your post...

I've been dealing with Rob Crosswhite all the time I've bought trucks from you... and that's several trucks and cars!!!!!!

He's a nice young man who seems to be a square shooter... and from what I can tell, tells me the truth... .

It makes sense to me that the left hand and right hand can't seem to talk to each other... . and share information in a big store like that... . please tell me why I should move from whom I'm comfortable with, to someone that I don't know... and why can't you seem to have the ability to keep your people informed...

Please go to him. . he's got the spec's on the trucks... . he saves them... and we can talk when I return to town... . I'm in Cleveland now on business... .

Wolfy.....

I know Adam ... ... but he usually signs his posts... . and I only assumed that someone else in their business was using the Dishman email address to answer me when it wasn't signed... . and I wanted to be able to talk to that person in person when I'm there next week..... I'm currently in Cleveland OH on business...

My issue here is that I started a relationship with Rod, 3 - 4 years ago..... and really like the young man... . he's just a nice guy, and want to follow through with those who I'm used to doing business with.....

Had they been a Jeep dealer I'm guessing I'd bought my new jeep from them... . but drove to Dave Smith for a good deal as well...

UPDATE, Fri Evening - From Cleveland... . voice mail from my sales person... . Rob... he has the internal problem worked out and they will accept my order..... don't know the price..... and I'm willing to order under the terms he suggested..... I'll see him next week upon my return... .

Just for Bleeps and Grins ... approximately what is a 5500 Quad cab 4X4 6-speed manual ST go for (within $5000 either way).

I'll keep my nitro pills handy.

If I can get 3. 42 gears with a 6 spd auto... ... ... ... . I'm headin' for the dealer tomorrow. Imagine the fuel mileage. 5th gear for towing and 6th empty.

The Cummins is a low RPM truck engine unlike the V-8 pick-up truck diesels. ;)
