This thing will not do ANYTHING!! Checked all fuses, swapped TIPM, checked starter relay, even jumped the starter.. No broken wires.. I can turn the key to run and jumping the starter and it will not fire off. The biggest concern to me is the fact that the PRNDL lights are completely off. It has a Torque Tech T2 and it says "vehicle did not respond". I can go into the engine and trans and every other body module with a snap on solus edge.. I am at a complete loss. Bad pcm/ecm? I've considered the wcm but undoing fuse 11 and disconnecting the batteries doesn't change anything so I've ruled that out. I need to reconfigure the TIPM but I'm not super worried about that. I can't get the dang key to send signal to the starter.. It's flat dead.

Do other lights / gauges in the cluster function correctly? No PRNDL indication means no bus message from TCM to cluster. And I would guess maybe that would also affect the Park start communication between ECM and TCM (although I am no expert on the start circuit).

You might check wiring diagrams at rambodybuilder.com to see how the start circuit is laid out.

Every other light illuminates. I can do a gauge check by holding the trip/reset button and turning the key forward. No problems there. Btw.. I have removed the dash to verify no loose connections at the back of the IC.

I had a similar problem a few months ago. Truck shut off while driving and would not restart.lights door locks worked but no trans indicator showing. TIPM was replaced because of lack of communication with modules. TIPM did not fix problem. Ultimately the ECM had to be replaced and everything was back to normal. Extremely expensive repair!!!

What leads me to believe it's the ecm is that the truck has a tuner on it for deletes and I can NOT I program the vehicle or do anything with the tuner. It doesn't connect at all. I can connect with a scan tool but can't go any further.

When I had mine towed to a shop I have had do alot of work for me, he said it was a very weird issue because he could not communicate with any of the modules at all. His tech support said it was most likely the TIPM. That was replaced and still no communication. A warranty unit was sent out and installed and still nothing. I had the truck towed to a Dodge dealer and they said at first it was a wiring issue and after a week and a half I went to speak to the tech working on it. He said that Dodge Tech wants him to repl the TIPM but he thought it was the PCM. I told him it could not possibly be the TIPM because the original plus two replacements had been installed and nothing. He was waiting for a call back from Dodge. After a couple of days, they called me and said the ECM was what was wrong and needed to be replaced. I was surprised, but whatever! They said as soon as they installed the ECM that the communication was restored and the installed the proper software to both the TIPM and the ECM and everything was good. I have put a little over 2000 miles on it and everything has been great, except for the $4000 I had to spend to get the truck going. I love this truck but sometimes think it is a money pit.
