2008 DHRA Nationals dates

FWIW, I hope next years dates are later in the month to accomodate those of us that have children graduating or family members or even friends that stop us from attending. The dates originally published for this years event was perfect and then they were changed. The first couple of weeks are bad times for graduations. I have neices and nephews that will be causing the same issue for the next year if the dates are the same. Just my . 02 worth. :{

The problem is that the last 2 years they were later in the month - and those were the only years that the event had been rained out since it began back in 2001. I believe they moved it back towards the beginning of the month to try to get out of the wet weather. Rain outs are VERY expensive for a promoter.

As Steve said, this is the weekend that it would have been and it rained both yesterday and today. So, as inconvenient as it may be to have the event at the beginning of June, the chances of nice weather are better. Sorry.
