2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 2009 bed on a 2nd gen

Lusting mightily after those built-in toolboxes, I wondered is there any gossip regarding replacing the original G2 beds with the 2009?? Are the bolt patterns and frame rail spacings the same?? I realize harness connectors would have to change but that's small potatoes! Just a thought…
