Hey yall,

I just ordered some of the following off Geno's since they are having a sale on engine cooling items.

upper/lower radiator hose, 190* stat, and Gates Heavy duty green belt. All of this is for the 2012 cummins.

Has anyone used the gates hoses before? How did they hold up? My factory hoses don't look to show any signs of collapsing or failing but at 200K and about 120 miles a day I think its time to replace and prevent a road side stranding.

I will also be changing the water pump with one that I have in my storage box and is a core from Autozone so i can take the old one back and get another one free.

That was my thought too. I've really only ever used the spring type on the intercooler piping and turbos. I'll probably just pop over to my local Elliots or ACE and get some stainless clamps from them for next to nothing.

The nice thing about the spring clamps is they don't leak, they don't need to be tightened up again, and you can't overtighten them and damage the hose.

Found some nice spring clamps, also plan to keep the truck till it blows but spending money on high price hoses that I'll change out isn't worth it. Just going to replace the hoses every couple years anyways.
