In Issue 78, page 82 there's a discussion of the integrated trailer brake controller. A statement is made in the top paragraph of the 2nd column that "On 2010 and 2011 models, your dealer may now have a computer flash to solve the (weak braking) problem. "

So, has anyone been able to get this reflash on their 2010 or 2011 truck? If so, is there an identifier for this flash that I can point my dealer to?

If one of the Dodge techs don't respond, try calling Elder Dodge in Athens and ask for TDR member Mike Mullenax. Mike is the senior diesel tech there. Mike is a genuine mechanic of the old school, not a young parts changer.

Rusty,

Send an e-mail to Robert Patton at TDR with your question and ask him to forward it to Jim Anderson who wrote the article. I don't know how to contact Jim since he is moving from his home in TN to his winter RV park home in FL.

Jim's E-Mail address is in the second paragraph bottom line. -- email address removed -- (He takes his computer with him).

Customer who drove from TN said traffic at FL state line on I-75 south was bumper to bumper today.

Jim replied and said that he didn't have any more information than any of us. I did ask if he and Robert would be so kind as to use whatever connections they might have with the Ram product team to keep the pressure on to come up with a fix for the pre-2012 ITBC.
