Archived 2010 3500 4x4 dually

won't start and two messages... service 4x4 and service trailer brake. The brake controller is also flashing an exclamation point on it. I've disconnected the batteries, hoping to clear codes. I'm going to wait 30 minutes and hook them back up and see what happens.

It was batteries. I thought that at first but with all the messages flashing, it sent me down the primrose path.

Trailer hooked up?? Have a trailer plug relocation done?? Raining?? etc. .

I had rinsed some dirt off the tailgate, and that's what threw me because I had the trailer brake message. But, it was just dead batteries. As soon as I posted this, I got a jump and started right up, and messages were gone.

Good, now to find out what killed year and a half old batteries.
