2010 68RFE External Filter Question?

TDR Gurus,



Can someone out there in TDR-land tell me where the external filter is located on the 2010 68RFE automatic transmission?



I'm assuming it has one, right?



I thought I had read about that filter at one point, but I can't seem to find an external filter anywhere near the transmission when crawling under the truck. Am I that blind or am I missing something?



Again, any information you can provide would be appreciated.

2 filters, both inside...

I'll have to check again to see if the service manual is available for this truck. The owners manual, if you can call it that, just doesn't have enough information.



Both filters inside, and sealed with RTV. Why not a gasket and a drain plug?



I think I will also be buying a replacement pan with gasket from Geno's soon.

Yes, service manuals are available for the truck although more and more are on CD.



Check Ebay. They always seem to have a good collection.
