Heading back to the station today and stopped off for fuel at our local fueling hole... Much to our suprise, a convoy of about twelve of the new 2010 HDs were fueling up as well. I spoke with one of the guys, and they all actually work for Dodge and were just road tripping with them. They're seeing how they function, checking for problems, etc. They left from KY several days ago and are headed to Detroit. They should be there by Saturday. Took a few pics with my cellphone & a few more with my drivers cell.

Few notable items...

They all had clear/smoke clearance lights...

None had the middle console with the shifter, all were column shifts.

The key switch is down on the dash instead of on the column as well.

The grill doesnt lift up anymore like previous years... I prefer the grille up...

The dash appeared on a couple of them to be all leather (had leather seats too). There was stitching at the corners of the dash and all.

They were all very nice looking trucks inside & out. A big thanks to all of the guys that were kind enough to let us look through the new trucks.

Pics below... Enjoy!!!

Great pics. Thanks.

That solid dark blue short bed is killer..... wonder if I can talk the wife in to one. :-laf

Thanks! Nice looking trucks. I sat in the new 1500's and they are sooo much more comfortable than my '07. Much higher quality interior. Maybe the dashes won't crack now. :) Boy,you enjoy much cheaper fuel and gas than here in Cali. :{

Diesel fuel

And that place is actually the MOST expensive in town. Its 2. 49 across I-30 at the murphy usa.

These trucks were very impressive. One of those once in a lifetime kinda things getting to meet the guys. They seemed like they were all just having a great time visiting with each other and stretching their legs. Everyone pretty much agreed that these 2010's are some of the best ones that dodge has built. One guy said they've addressed many of the issues that plagued the past trucks. I told him just wait for the final verdict from the TDR guys. One of the guys was even familiar with the TDR. He asked me what I had done to my truck and when I told him nothing, he was happy. Basically said that we shouldnt be pulling anything more than stock could handle. Wanted to laugh in his face and call him a name..... BUT, I was in uniform and riding in the BRT, so I couldnt. Other than that it was a great experience to talk with them.

At least the fenders look better on the Megacab dually. . still short though !! And Pete, back to the first gen forum , back where you belong !!!

Nope

They didnt say they worked for a particular outfit. They were all tagged with Michigan plates. I asked if they worked for Dodge and his reply was yes. That was all that was said about that.

The best improvement for the diy guys for the 2010's is the fuel filter coming out the top again..... They have integrated the TCM and ECM again. we'll have to wait and see on that change

You said the grilles stayed down when the hood was lifted? What was Dodge thinking?? Having the grille go up with the hood makes things a lot easier to get at and work on. That was definitely a poor choice in my opinion.

I do like the looks though. I agree with the others in saying they look a little shorter than usual. Did they appear shorter in person to you?

Thanks for the pics!
