Buying a Duramax

stanadyne vs BG ?

The worst thing about the Jetta... its so dang girly looking! Theres absolutely NOTHING even remotely masculine about it. I gotta save that stuff for when Im older and married; while Im single I gotta have something "manly"! haha

That new BMW with the 3. 0L twin turbo I6 diesel looks pretty good, but twice as much as a Jetta. Funny thing is, dealers sell USED Jettas (as well as trucks) for more than a brand new one... 2 years old. Hows that work?

Im trying to talk myself into a Jetta, but the styling is killing me

@ StrokeThis '07. As much as I love my Cummins, I've had my share of woman tell me I must be trying to "compensate" for something driving that big, 'stinky', obnoxious truck. Not even ONCE have I had a girl say. . wow you drive that? I'm your girl!!!

So I can't speak for woman out in Wyoming but here in PA, if you pull up in a TDI Jetta, wearing clean unwrinkled clothing, hand her a flower and open the car door when you leave. She'll be thinking you are all the MAN she needs on your ride to... ... where ever you are going.

Now stop stop being a girl and go get a TDI. . LOL...

:-laf Well said Deezal Man! I could make an argument that every girl I've dated loves my truck, but then I gotta question the type of girls they are... normally not the "marrying" type:eek:

The new Golf two door would be nice, with some of the R32 appearance stuff (think it's R32...)

I would buy the 2010 Jetta TDI, this is a great car to drive around town. We bought a 2011 Jetta TDI with the automatic DSG, for my wife's car but I drive it 50 % of the time. If we have to go anywhere we take her car instead of the truck now. She has said that she did not like going to a wedding or such and getting out of the pick-up truck.

The 2010 is slightly better car then the 2011 Jetta. The rear suspension was redesigned on the 2011, VW took away the sport car type of suspension that the 2009 and 2010 cars had. The instrument cluster lost the analog fuel gage on the 2011 also. It is now in the MFD.

My wife's car get's 30 + MPG in town and she only has 1100 miles on it so far.

So I would suggest that you buy the 2010 if the car is still available.

Jim.
