2011 Mileage

What is the best and cheapest way to increase mileage on a 2011.

The cheapest way is to un-plug the EGR valve. This will get you maybe 2 to 3 MPG's over stock. You will get a CEL but this will not cause you any issues with the truck. I ran this way for almost a year before I deleted and spent $$ for a Smarty and a 5" TBE.

hey thanks for the reply. Can u help me a little more? Is the egr valve on the pass. side above the exhaust manifold. I don't know **** about this new engine. Give me a 24v 98. 5 - 2002 any day. But I am willing to learn and listen. Thanks again

Driver's side above the intake manifold. There's pics on the web if you google for them.

Picture for you. Where the yellow arrow is pointing, unplug that plug. Either zip tie it out of the way, or let it dangle.

I would also use electrical tape around the openings of the connections. Tape off the openings to prevent moisture from entering the pin connections.

If you have remote start, it won't work with the EGR unplugged, at least on mine.
