Seat Comfort

I picked up my 2010 yesterday in Pahrump and drove the 200 miles home, nonstop. It have leather bucket seats. I found the seats even more comfortable than the seats in my '98 Ram, with the 60%-40% seats.

I found one thing that is of interest about the bucket seats. The headrest is fixed, in a slightly tilted forward position. This does not pose an uncomfortable situation while driving, but I am wondering if it might be an issue when the seat back is laid back for sleeping on the road. My wife's BMW X3 has leather bucket seats also and the headrests in the BMW tilt forward and backward on demand to find the most comfortable position.

See photo of the Ram headrest:

i removed the head rest, big pain when kicking back while waiting for someone. the seats are going to go. i've been looking at a set from a super ditty. as they are why the fords are 10k extra. (just kidding) i tried the fords before i bought my dodge. and found them to ride better and the seats were more comfortable. but for the same equipped trucks, the ford was $10k more. less torque and burned more fuel... so to make up the difference in ride. i added the kederman rear air ride, which attaches to the rear of the oem springs. i still have enough $$$ from the difference in price, to buy brand new super ditty leather bucket seats. i just haven't gotten around to doing it.

I'm really happy with the comfort and support of the seats so far.

Much improved over the 2005. The shape and bolstering of these seats is much better.

Df5152, have 2010 ram 3500 drw crewcab like yourself, any problems with pass front seat vibrating with no one in it at any speed. Mine vibrates like crazy over a bump or smooth road, even at 5mph over a bump it'll shake, not like a tire balance problem. How's your's?.

Check your tires!

AABEN. It's not a seat problem or tires. The WHOLE DAMN FLOOR BOARD IS FLEXING. IF YOU HIT THE R/S SEAT WITH NO ONE IN THE TRUCK THE R/S SEAT , THE CENTER CONSOLE AND THE L/S SEAT SHAKES. DEALER LOOKING AT IT MONDAY!!!. crawled under the truck and friend hit the seat. floor board flexing like a mother. NEVER SAW ANY THING LIKE IT. ******.
