2011 Trailer Plug Connector

Can someone with a 2011 truck look at the connector on the back of the of the trailer plug and tell me if it is round or rectangular? I just ordered my new one and I'm looking at getting a wiring extension for the 5th-wheel and they have ones that tee into the connector on the back of the trailer plug. It looks like Dodge changed the connector between 2009 and 2010, just want to confirm this.

Yup, Dodge changed the 4th generation trucks to use the same connector as Ford or GM. I bought one of the older Dodge extensions for the pre-4th generation trucks - it didn't work, and I had to cut off the plugs and solder it in.

Thanks, that's what I wanted to know. I want to get the B&W and the wiring extension ordered to have them when my new truck gets here.

What size is the receiver hitch, 2" or 2-1/2"?

Dunno - the truck's at home, and I'm at work. I don't use the receiver, but IIRC from just eyeballing it it's the same size (2" ??) as the factory receiver on my 2002 was.
