So I have about 7k on my new factory replacement warranty ball joints (about 50k first set). It's in the shop for a hard clunk I feel in the steering wheel. When I put my winter rubber on I could jack the truck and the wheel will stay put for about a 1/4" I have a video but can't seem to post it.
I know what the parameters of play are, play here and there added for a total... That said I have built a front drive housing from a pile of steel and installed it in a rock buggy and have yet to have any issues after a few years of rock abuse. So I like to think I am knowledgeable about this.
Anyone else able to jack up the front and have the wheel stay like described??
