I'm at a loss...
I have a 2012 3500, deleted with race me tuner. Exhaust break started sticking.
I rebuilt the turbo, had the turbo actuator replaced, truck runs great, but now the exhaust brake is not working properly. When the exhaust break is turned on, let off the gas the exhaust break activates like it should, hit the gas exhaust break does not release, does release at 40mph. I've also replaced the ebp sensor, turbo speed sensor, and map sensor. Not sure where to go from here. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Try turning off the exhaust brake before you hit the gas again and see if it turns off like it should. If it doesn't then something in the actuator is faulty.

Alright, on the way home I was doing 70mph with the exhaust brake off, let off the gas and the exhaust brake engaged, wouldn't come off until I hit 40mph, I tried turning the exhaust brake on, let off the gas once it engaged tried turning it off using the button, stayed on till I got down to 40mph, tried the same thing with the tow haul button pushed and didn't release until I got down to 20mph. It seems like it's getting the signal to engage but not disengage until I get down to the mph limit. Does anyone know what tells it to engage or disengage? Or what I should check next?

Do this, first thing, stop using the eb until you figure this out. Fast way to blow your head gasket.

Check for codes. If it's turbo related it'll throw a code. If there are no codes, check below.

If there are none check the throttle valve. I know you said your deleted but did you remove the factory throttle valve. If not check it and make sure something there isn't something hanging up there.

If this is all good. I would exchange the actuator for another or replace the turbo and actuator all together.

Mine had an issue a year ago where it would only work with 10k or more behind the truck. Then it worked flawlessly. Once unloaded the eb was **** and shuttered all the time. I finally just exchanged it for an s465 2nd gen swap kit and haven't looked back. Yes I miss the eb and in the future I might go back and do the fleece cheetah vgt. For now I love my s465 2.6 pulling turbo for towing.

I have not been use my exhaust brake, except for troubleshooting. I did just look and I still do have my throttle valve, I'm going to order a delete for it tomorrow. My next move is the 465 swap if this doesn't work, I don't think the eb is worth all this headache. Did you have to get a custom tune for the 465? Thanks a lot for all the help and info, this has been driving me nuts.

So I would just get an aftermarket intake horn like banks or something.

I have been running HPP TUNING (now CTT tuning) and they told me that when I did the swap from factory I didn't need to change the tuning but I asked for a dial back in the fueling so it didn't smoke as much cause it takes around 18-1900rpm with my g56 truck to start spooling. An auto might be different. I also went with the stainless diesel s465 kit and it's an amazing fit.
