2012 headlight out issue

This thread is for my brothers truck. 2012 - 2500 CTD.
He is having a sporadic issue with the left front headlight going out when a trailer is hooked up. He owns several different trailers - a mixture of 4 way plugs and 7 way plugs. Trailer lights and brakes work fine.
The headlight will come back on the next day with no trailer attached.
Trailer ground issue?
Faulty receptacle on truck?
TIPM issue?

Ideas?

I had my left headlight fail. Ended up pulling both headlights to clean all the connectors (quad lights) and reseat the bulbs. No trouble since. Added a little dielectric grease to each connection as well.

I had an intermittent problem with the right headlight on mine. Usually when it was out if I hit it the light would work. Took it to a dealer as it was under warranty. They had to order some parts to fix it. I'm not sure but I think it was a receptacle or connection some where close to the light.
