Anyone have experience dealing with the P2609? I searched the forum and saw a couple threads but none showed a resolved problem.
I have the Banks Monster intake which replaced the failure prone stock grid heater with a coil type. With that said, I've replaced the relay and coil heater. The error went away for 2 weeks and has returned.
Any ideas out there?
Thanks

According to Mitchell DIY, the PCM is looking for a specific voltage drop when the heat relay is activated. Any poor connection, such as ground or battery cables, could lower the current flow and make the voltage drop smaller.

Are you sure the heater supplied with the Banks kit is operating? If it doesn't see a voltage drop at key on preheat it will set the code.
