Bought Truck 2 weeks ago has 50000 miles on it it was used to tow a fifth wheel I don't know if this is from heat. it's something wish I would have saw this before I bought it. Everything else about the truck is clean and I'm really enjoying it this until I saw the spider cracks is this normal wear in the aluminum housing?cracks

They are not cracks, it is ridges from the casting process.


Exactly. You'll notice that the "cracks" are actually RAISED lines of aluminum. They come from tiny cracks in the casting die (called heat checking), which normally develop over time. So they are not a problem at all.
