2013 2500 Laramie Backup Camera Issue

When I turn hard to the right, but not to the stops, while backing up the guidance lines disappear off the screen. Dealer is stumped, ordered a replacement radio. I presume it gets some kind of signal from the steering. Is that transducer not adjustable? Does anybody know how this works?
