Ford 600 Tractor

International S1900 dump truck frame matl.

They desperately needed something to replace the Neon, and this is a similar car. Not like that horrible Caliber... (I'm a mopar guy, but wouldn't drive one of those again if I had to) Also, I don't think Dodge had as much input as the current owners, Fiat. Should be some serious Italian influence in there.

Looks like good air flow like the horse power 160 HP with 184 Ft Lb torque

Time will tell how it stacks up. The Itallion dna has me a lil concerned. No need to jump the gun and condem it just yet. 3 engine choices a starting price of 16k,tons of flexibility on trim and options.

Till it hits the road give it a chance... ... ... .

We had a 71 Dodge Dart with a slant six under the hood. You could not kill that thing. That motor was used in other things as well. I had a John Deere swather that had the same engine, it ran great and was a hay cutting machine!

I don't know... I have a '06 Charger R/t and a '01 Cummins Ram. In order to preserve my '01 Ram, and gain some fuel economy, I'm in the market for a small, eco-box for commuting purposes. The 1. 4L Turbo Dart at 40mpg might keep me from buying a Fiesta, Fiat 500 or Golf TDI.

It is about having vehicles in certain market segments. Dodge has nothing is this lower end, a market the 20-somethings buy. If it pulls sales from Kia/Hyundia, then I'm all for it.

Why not come out with a retro Dart with the HEMI. Ive had every true hotrod that chrysler ever made and would like to see an updated Hemi dart with enough wheel clearance to put some 14X32s under the rear. Instant HOTROD. I bought a factory 1969 440 Dart that was supposed to be a SS/EA car but we couldnt get enough tire under it. Oh for the good old days of fast cars and cheap gas!!!! Moe

They sure do look ugly tho, like the slant 6 Cummins, Ford big trucks used for years.

I want one of them Darts with a turbo and intercooler with a trailer hitch so I can tow Rusty's Ford Ranger:D We had a '98 and now an '05 Neon, good cars.

I didn't think they were as ugly as others of their time. They sure were easy to work on. Plenty of room under the hood and an easy engine to maintain. It was my parents car, they tried to wear it out then gave it to us after purchasing a new car. We tried to wear it out some more. It was a two door, when had our first kid we sold it as a starter car to a high school girl.

Sorry, I didn't mean the car, I was talking about the engine. The intake manifold pipes were a foot longer then a well rope, look kind of homely:-laf

Yea I agree, but I never had to look at it much. . That thing was a runner, didn't have to open the hood much. Bullet proof. .

I usually don't comment on cars since I'm more of a truck person and don't really see myself driving a car but jeez, good luck to Dodge with that one. Looks just like the Kia/Hundai/Ford little cars... not for me. Should have kept the Neon name on it.

Way to ruin the Dart name on a ugly econo box car.

Yep, my brother had a Hesston self propelled windrower with an A/C cab with the same engine. It was an excellent machine and the little Mopar slant six engine was as tough as nails mowing thousands of acres hay in 100+ degree heat.

I had a '69 Dart Custom 2dr HT with a 318 and the A883 4-speed. It also had the Rallye suspension and front disc brakes. The 8-3/4" rear axle was the same used in an Imperial and 1/2 ton pickups. Improvements included a dual point distributor from a '65 273 HO and a 304 stainless steel exhaust sytem with 340 manifolds. I was the original owner and the car was in very good original condition, with maintenance records from brand new. One of my customers had wanted to buy it for years, so when I moved to PA I sold it- for $10,000. Except for the first 4 years I owned it, it was stored inside and not driven in bad weather.
