2013 Mirror turn signal and puddle lamp question?

Now that I have REAL tow mirrors on my truck, the mirrors have the turn signal and puddle lamps on them.(They came off a 2013 -1500 RAM) The stock mirrors did not. However, when I installed the tow mirrors, the door panel had the second plug for the turn signals and puddle lamp and I plugged them both in.

The mirror and heated part of the mirror work, but not the puddle or turn signal. I checked ALL the empty fuse locations but none were for those lights. I called the dealer and they said there is not a separate fuse for the puddles and turn sigs on the mirror. All else works fine.


I dont need the puddles or signals on the mirrors but since they are there, I'll give it a shot trying to make them work.

Is this something thats downloaded into the computer on board now with the factory sheet/options or is it a "hard boot" (dis-connecting batteries for 10 minutes etc)to learn whats on the truck etc. Just a poke in the dark.

I wonder if they would go as far as to install the plugs for those lights, but cut power off somewhere else?

All other fuses are good.

Yep, the dealer needs to flash the computer with the correct options codes to make them function.
