2013 ram3500 no ignition or acc help

good morning
2013 ram 3500 6.7 4x4 towed home this morning,
we drove to McDonald's and shut engine off so they could hear our order. when trying to restart there is no usual pre start gauge check and no acc power to operate windows. Factory remote start did work several times until we opened a hood or door, now that says must start truck to reset remote start.
so we know starter circuit can function fine by remote start but I have no gauges or power for accessories and windows.
two new batteries last week and nice fast cranking normally. please offer any advice big trip planned coming up soon.
I did program two new keys last week also but I have old keys and all behave the same.

Disconnect the batteries and let it sit half hour and hook back up. Sounds like it it needs the reboot

re boot? ive had it for 150,000 miles and never heard of this? I was thinking maybe the ignition switch rf ring? mechanically the key turns but it acts like no key present, no lights flashing either though

Remember when your home computer had issues? You would restart it. Same here as your truck runs on a computer.

disconnecting batteries did work, ive never run into this before on this truck and not sure if we just worked around a different problem. I guess ill carry more wrenches and see. thank you for the advice
there never was any key in ignition message with any key. fingers crossed

Aside from that the Gen3 had a problem with the electrical part of the ignition switch. Burning up the contacts and shows similar symptoms as yours.
Just as an addition for readers in the future.

If you now own a 2013 instead of or in addition to the '99 in your signature, you need to update it. If someone comes in later in your thread and doesn't notice the title, first thread, or what forum it's in, you may get bad info or advice.

it is updated, I own both and my Signiture says both? this is copied from my Signiture right here : 99 CTD DRW QC AT 4x4 9' meyer plow 5th wheel / 13 6.7 SRW 4 Door 4x4 short bed

Sorry, I didn't recognize the number “13” as a year model with no “2500” or “3500” around it. Most times you’ll see the complete 2013 or at least ‘13.

I would've assumed the same thing since its in the same line and I only saw 99'...... maybe edit the sig and hit enter to drop the 13' to the next line.... Glad you got it fixed.

There was an older TSB, not sure if it applied where the RF hub would lock up and would require a battery disconnect to reset it
