whats every ones thoughts about putting a one piece driveshaft in when the carrier bearing fails.I still cant believe they still use a carrier bearing. Is it for ground clearance or pinion angle.
 
The single is NOT as strong (aluminum) then the 2 piece steel in most cases the 1 piece is OK, if you live in wintry conditions and get the Truck to rock and the wheels hook up when spinning the 1 piece may snap/twist. the bigger joints in 2013 3500+ offset the change, I'm sticking with my 2 piece in My 2013/2014 Rams.
 
They are right on the edge of being too long with a single shaft, so the two piece is the best option and as TC says is stronger.
