1968 dodge powerwagon crew cab

Got some more done on the crewcab this last weekend

Legally? Who is going to sue him or ticket him? Why illegal? The GVWR doesn't change that much - 2500 -3500 srw, even drw. Police looking at the truck for over weight violations are gonna go on tire ratings and their weigh scale. Only time they may look at the door jamb sticker is for license class, or taxation ie - trucks over such and such weight rating must pay fuel / highway use tax etc etc. I speak from exp. as a Police Officer
Thanks,
Deo

I believe the "legal" reference is referring to the inability to change the manufacturer's GVWR and GAWRs shown on the driver's door jamb sticker unless you're an authorized upfitter.

there are places that specialize in going this.. A new sticker can be added to the factory one with the new information..

The easiest place to do this is at a sales desk at a RAM dealer. Abortion trucks are hard to resale! Go get the right truck for your intended use.

Why do people keep buying 250/2500's and then want to make them into something they are not. RAM has put a wider separation line between the 2500 and 3500 rams. The 68RFE and 3.42 is not the best setup for heavy hauling.

If you need a dually go buy one with the Aisin transmission and low gears (3:73's or 4:10's). Your choice on air or leaf springs out back.
