I'm headed out with a load of cars to Idaho but thought I'd share this with you:
Below is an image of the reverse light switch which, over time, has failed due to wear.
A second image is of a new one.
I'm at 165,000+ miles and I guess I do a lot of shifting into reverse shown by the way a gouge was worn into the round tab of this item.
If your back-up lights and camera keeps coming on when running down the road or even when standing still, this may be the cause.
The part at the dealership costs ~ $53.00 but you can find the same part for $29.00 here:
