My wife and I went looking for a newer than 01 ram 3500, at the dealer they had several tradesmans and laramies, I wanted a simple truck that I could manually put in/out of 4 wheel drive, the tradesman has that, I also wanted soft door panels, the tradsman doesn't have that. The only way to get soft non plastic door panels was to go higher in model and price, so just for fun we test drove a 2015 Laramie crew cab, with the aisin transmission and 373 gear ratio, with all the bells and whistles, kinda, anyway, its nice, all the electronic gizzmos compared to our stock 01 ram 3500 extended cab, we fell in love, filled out the paper work and are now owners of a 2015 Laramie, the Ram 3500 has sure come a long way. Right now it has just 200 miles on it. We havnt discovered all the options on it yet, even though the dealer went over it all. I can hardly wait to pull the fifth wheel RV and see how it does. With all the upgrades our 01 ram needed to pull the fifth wheel, it seemed more cost affective to go new. We will keep the older one for hauling stuff like firewood and so on.

Congratulations!!!

That's why I won't go and look at a new RAM truck; we would be also buying one than.

Thank You, it is nice, the funny thing is all we wanted was to have padded door panels, to get them we had to have the kitchen sink too haha

Yes the truck is a dually, the only way to go if your pulling a trailer. There are lots of stuff to learn, but its nice. We are still going to upgrade the fuel system in the 01 ram 3500, and some gauges.

If you are able, make the May Madness 22 next year in Pahrump, NV. You will REALLY be happy with your choice when you learn all the technical details. Factory Cummins rep. and Ram Service Gurus both attended MM 21 last week. Greg

I'm surprised (but pleased) that Cummins still sends facotry reps to what I'm assuming has become a smaller event in recent years (compared to pre-internet days of yore).

On topic: new trucks sure are nice! :)
