I have a 2016 Laramie 4X4 with virtually no problems at 75K miles. Am I the only one, or are there more people like me out there? I pulled a gross of 24K pounds 15000 miles over mountains and prairie to Alaska & back with zero problems. I also plow snow with this brute. I'd like to hear the good stories about our trucks rather than always hearing the bad.....So come on guys tell us all how GOOD your truck is rather than the bad.

Can't find the thread, this was started a while back similar, but agree 100% and many others hopefully will shortly. By far millions of trucks with probably billions miles troublefree.

The daily grind of these forums are all backwards to reality of day to day operation.

Thanks for tossing up a positive post, look forward to seeing some of what I know is the norm.

I've owned 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Gen Ram Cummins trucks and have had great service from them all. I'm impressed with the phenomenal towing ad hauling capacity as well as performance and handling. Specifically and IMHO, the Ram, Cummins, Aisin combination is the BEST truck combo ever offered. I'm even in the smallest of the Ram Cummins group, the Cab and Chassis group. Even with the lower HP/TQ numbers, the capabilities are still amazing.

Not only have I been a Ram/Cummins loyalist, I'm also a Mopar loyalist as well, since my first car in 1974, a 1967 Dodge Polara 318V8 auto.

So count me in as a positive, happy Ram Cummins owner, not sure in 21 years membership here if I've ever complained about any of my trucks, just worked through some issues and sharing experiences, which is my main objective for being a member of TDR.

Cheers, Ron

My 2004 never left us anywere.... even when needing a repair she soldiered on tried and true and ALWAYS brought us home!.. Can't say that about some of the other vehicles I've owned. I will never own another brand and the Cummins engine is unbeatable.. I'm thoroughly enjoying my new Cummins / AISIN combination!

I've been a Dodge/Ram truck owner since Aug 2000. I'll admit the first was a gasser 5.9 but it never left me and I was amazed at the performance and towing ability that it had! So when I had the chance to acquire a diesel 350 DRW from my FIL, I couldn't get the check book out fast enough!! Every brand will have issues along the way. The biggest difference is how the owner perceives these issues along with interaction at dealer! Anything that is mass produced with the amount of components that need to work together can have issues. I've had issue with both trucks but take in stride. My biggest issue was how dealer handled these issues. For those of us that have work in that field, we know how it works and when we're given the B.S., that tends to give us that sour taste! They're are great dealers out there with great people and there are the ones that don't hit the mark. These trucks have amazed so many owners and their friends with what they can do day in and out! Keep them on the road working til you can no longer use them or it's time to put them to pasture. Ladies and Gentlemen, ENJOY your trucks!!!!!!!!

You pulled a 24K gross weight trailer with a 2500???
Or, was the total weight truck and trailer 24K???

And, my 2500 was fairly trouble free up to 270K, after that there were some very high dollar repairs. Thank heaven for the extended warranty, but after the warranty expired 2 years ago, I've spent a couple thou on repairs since then.
At 580K now, just keeping fingers crossed that I can keep working it for a while before any more big buck repairs are needed.
My truck is used almost exclusively on the highway, and about half of that is towing fairly heavy trailers.

My dad was a Mopar guy. Our 1958 Dodge Sierra station wagon took us around the US four times from NY to CA, Canada and Mexico. Never failed us. But I did catch the traveling bug. Do we started RVing. We have had Fords (7.3 PSD) which had no problems, but traded the 5er for a Diesel Pusher when we retired and went FT. It was a CAT350 with the Allison, and we had a 5 years on the road with zero issues.
Sorry I will. One full circle, I guess I wanted all to know, if I am going to be towing, I want a diesel motor.
Final settled down in a stick and brick and down sized back to a 5er. Friends all have RAMs and had good things to share about them. So we found a 2016 4x4 Laramie CC with 30k Miles on her. Our 5er is only 32 ft and fully loaded 12k lbs. We have taken the grandkids around the country and not one issue. She is at 80k miles and I have been doing all the maintenance ( oil, fuel, air, CC filters) and very happy with her towing performance, all round comfort and dependability. I think My dad is looking down and smiling as he was a mechanic and his love for traveling and Mopar vehicles was passed on to me. Thanks dad!!

I'm on my 9th Cummins since '91 and only one time did I have trouble. My '01 had the injector pump go out when I was 400 miles from home. Fortunately, the dealer in town was a branch of the dealership where I bought the truck. But, it still cost me 2 weeks of a rental car until it got fixed. Over a million miles combined and that was the only problem.

My 2019 Ram is my first other than GM pick up/vehicle ever. (I’m 64 years old now) I really love my truck. The CTD is in my opinion the best engine I have had the pleasure to own. I’ve had 0 issues and have about 21000 miles so far. I don’t do much heavy towing or hauling but I do a lot of off-roading with it. My commute to work is about a 100 mile round trip. This truck is a joy!
