2016 3500 trailer brake control module

Here we go..has anybody had any issues with the truck not recognizing the trailer brakes when hooked up..all lights work but no brakes with the factory control module.. just started acting up last trip now won't work at all..down for the count and losing money..help!!!

There is an update for this, TSB #08-082-16.....supposedly if you plug the cord in after the truck is running, it will work properly. Had the update done but haven't towed yet.
