Truck is stock with 886 miles. Been gone for a week and came home and needed to go to town. Started the truck and drove approx 6 miles and came to a stop. On acceleration from a stop, the truck shook pretty bad like a dead miss. Thought it may have been the road.....drove to the next stop about 2 miles and same thing. No check engine light or other warnings. Seems like an aggressive boost/no boost feel....a little hard to describe. I'll try and make a video if it does it again. No other problems to this point.

Made it to town and left the truck running on high idle while I ran in the store, maybe 10 minutes. Decided to take the long way home just to see if the truck was going to grenade or something bad......surging was gone but the timing rattle or clatter was horrendous under any acceleration. Not a normal rattle.......anyway, I put about 15 miles of highway speed and it was completly normal by the time I got home. I'm pretty sure it was in a full blown regen at at -20 it may make things a little angry when that's happening? This is my third truck with a 6.7 and I've never had one smell like lighter fluid or act so strange in a regen.

No, we don't have summer blend normally. Everything is winter blend almost all the time. I gotta say, the more I think about it I believe it was in a regen and for whatever reason the turbo/cold temps and fueling were not playing well with one another. I'm gonna keep an eye on it.
