Okay, finally the truck is done. 2016 3500 Laramie Limited Megacab Aisin stretched to a longbox with Kelderman replacement airbags in the front and Kelderman 4 link airbag setup in the rear. On board air compressor and dryer, auto leveling valves at all corners, rear air dump valves. Installed the Rancho RS9000's that came with the Kelderman kit on the front and Bilstein 4600's on the rear. Rides very nice. Not quite as nice as my Ecodiesel with air ride, but a big improvement over stock.

Installed the older style B&W gooseneck ball because they do not relocate the factory crossmember where the gooseneck ball would normally be. This was actually preferable to me as it places the ball forward of the axle the way it used to be prior to the new frame design in 2013. Turning radius really isn't that bad, all considering. No chance of parking it in a normal parking spot at the mall, LOL.

Wow, what a truck! Awesome! That 4 corner air ride sounds amazing! Now you only need new, custom step bars:)

Nice! Whats that aero thingy on the cap top rear? I've not seen those.

They are called Airtabs https://buyairtab.com/ I run them on all my trailers and have been pretty happy. I put them on the topper of my EcoDiesel which helps keeps the window and camera clean. Figured I'd try them on the Megacab and see if it helps a little on the mileage when pulling the 5th wheel.

Yup. I assume you did as well?

Yup, ran into a few hiccups, but hopefully they will take care of it. I had one of those "first time ever in the 700 trucks we've done" scenarios. Still trying to get it straightened out. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt at the moment, but honestly a little ticked off that the owner still hasn't called me back and I've been waiting right at a week so far.

Is it related to the Kelderman air ride? Because other than that, your build should have been pretty identical to mine. I have the factory rear air bags which they had to deal with, and it was "one of the first" I was told, though I believe they said they did one before. I'm having some paint flaking issues now as they had to match my two-tone. Haven't reached out to Mark yet. They were a bit sloppy underneath with the plasma cutter when they made some cuts on the drivers side for the parking brake cable (through a body mount), but I got over it as it's not seen. Other slight annoyance was I wanted a LineX, and was told I'd get one, but the bed already had a Turboliner so I was surprised when I picked it up.

Issues with them mounting the Kelderman air ride, I had to redo several things as well as finish a few. Issues with them scratching it numerous places, a detail shop was able to buff out most of it, but one window will have to be replaced and my local body shop is working up a bid to repair the scratches on the bed and tailgate that went completely through the paint. Honestly, for them being a body shop I'm VERY disappointed in the condition I received the truck. It literally looked like a 10yr old washed it in the driveway when I picked it up. Mark was actually pretty embarrassed. For what is now a $95,000 truck with less than 1,000 miles on it, I expected them to take a little better care of it. And lastly, they blew up my stereo (and I'm hoping nothing else) which is on back order at the Salt Lake Dodge dealer. I have to take the truck there again once the radio comes in.

Wow, that stinks. I was in the same boat as you. I had 750 miles on mine, and it had an MSRP of $73,900 so it was tough to convince myself, and especially my wife to cut it up and of course spending $8k+ to do it.

I had two other issues with fit and finish. Days after I got it home, the fender flare started to come off on the rear. My truck is a dually, so it may be different than yours. Apparently it's partly held on with adhesive. I brought it to the dealer for an oil change and had them look at it. They ended up replacing the adhesive under warranty, apparently not noticing it's not the bed it came with. Gave them the ability to charge Chrysler for some labor I suppose. Mark said he'd pay to make it right, but he didn't have to.

Second issue was the bed they provided was barely dented on the top rail passenger side under the plastic rail cover. Like someone hit it with a ball peen hammer, or they dropped a bed on it when they stacked them in their yard. All I noticed when I picked it up was that damn cover wasn't staying down, but didn't know why. Mark thought it was a clip, but he didn't have one and I had picked it up after hours. When I had the dealer check that (when they were doing the adhesive on the fender flare) they were the ones that told me this is what it was (and there weren't even clips). They said they could glue it down, which they did and it's now "fine", I suppose... It was very slight and you can't tell, but it's there and I know it's there.

I'm just remembering now, when I changed my oil a couple weeks back I saw a very slight "wetness" around the fuel filter hose they lengthened. I had just topped off my tank, and I was on a side hill in my driveway. I forgot until now to check that out. Looked like I may need a hose clamp or tighten a hose clamp. So that might be another slight issue you may want to eyeball on yours over the upcoming months.

I will say other than the blemishes, I now have 24k miles on it and there isn't a squeak or rattle and best of all the driveshaft is perfectly balanced, which was one of the things I was worried about. Tire wear seems normal in the back. Had some scrubbing on one of the fronts, but that was my fault as I initially underestimated the weight on the front axle so I was running my tires a bit lower than I should have. The extra length made it drive that much better and the length isn't noticeable. It was a school bus before the stretch, and it makes u-turns just as bad after, but not noticeably worse.

As for it being washed when I picked it up, it was raining all week so they didn't wash mine. This rain could explain why the paint is bubbling now. Ironically I asked Mark when I picked it up if I'd have issues with the paint, and he said I shouldn't. Well... :-/

Actually, the fender flare on my driver's side is coming loose on the top as well, I forgot to mention that. Will be fixed by the body shop since they will need to re clearcoat the entire side of the bed after they fix the scratches. As far as the top rails, now that I think about it, one doesn't sit exactly right. I'll have the body shop look at that as well. The body shop I'm taking it to has done many, many repairs for me in the last 25 years (lots of kamikazee deer here in Montana, and a couple idiots that have ran into me) and their work is absolutely superb. Not too mention every time I get a vehicle back from them it's fully detailed and looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor. Perhaps I had my standards set too high based on that, but honestly, there's absolutely no excuse for the scratches on a brand new truck, or any truck for that matter. There was also numerous scratches on the fenders where they leaned over into the engine compartment for wiring. Inexcusable in my opinion. An old blanket would solve that problem let alone the actual fender protectors you'd expect a body shop to have.

Mark is absolutely a great guy to deal with and I really enjoyed just B.S'n with him about everything, unfortunately he doesn't have the final say or I feel this would already have been taken care of.

Sweet looking ride! How did you get your bar light to mount between the tow hooks? I can't see any place on my 2016 to even mount mine... Thanks
