I have a 2017 Ram 5500 with a dealer installed flatbed. All lights were perfectly for first trip with fifth wheel, then next trip out the connector to the trailer was loose and trailer lights weren't working. Fixed that but now the driver's side turn signal and brake lights won't work on truck bed. The lights on the trailer work fine. I don't have any current from the front of the truck to the bed. I had in to the dealer today and they said there are no faults showing on the computer and that it is a problem with the bed. But checked again when I got home and there isn't any current going from the truck to the bed on the driver's side. Anyone have any suggestions of what to check next? Also stopped by the bed company and they confirmed no current going to bed from truck.

I thought I read in a thread that there was a seperate fuse for the brake/turn lights on the truck vs the brake/turn in the trailer connector, might check that out!

Thanks for the suggestion but the 2017 doesn't use fuses for the truck side. It is all run through the tipm. Dealer said truck didn't show any codes but not sure if there is a separate "report" that shows codes for the tipm. What would happen if the tipm is reset when no codes are showing?

Did you ever figure out the problem? I have a 2011 it started doing the same thing. I checked the white orange wire coming out of the factory harness to my flat bed harness no voltage to that wire.

So after 3 partial days of this troubleshooting this problem, I found the culprit. The turn brake wire was shorted to a ground in side of a 6" oval lamp. I thought the wire was shorted to the Bradford flatbed somewhere so I re did the wires and had the same problem. So I pulled the lamp off grabbed the meter and checked the resistance across the ground pin and the turn/brake pin, it was a big fat zero. No name incadesent tail lamp, stay away from those!!!!
