I just red in the owners manual that this truck only uses a OAT type coolant and that my HOAT(zerex G-05) type won't work in the truck is this true or are people changing it out to the HOAT type?
Don't fight it, just buy the OEM coolant and move on. The days of everything running the same coolant are long gone. I resisted as long as I could, but had to cave in.
If you have older vehicles and do a thorough flush you can use your HOAT in them . I switched my 98 and my 67 Land Cruiser over to it years back to lengthen the service intervals over the traditional ethylene glycol (green stuff).
