I am wondering if I remove the silencer ring when I install my cold air intake if this will void the drivetrain warranty.

Return the CAI and use that money for something worth wild. Like fuel, mopar HD mud flaps, etc.

Yep, absolutely NO benefit to anything other than stock air intake/filter system. At least not until you’re going for real high HP numbers at which point nothing matters anymore.

Right there could void your warranty! You already have a cold air intake right from the factory!

Ditch the CAI. You already have one of the best designed intakes there are.
The youngins around here have those trash can exhaust tips, and them pretty anodized intake tubes, etc., They always remark how quiet my truck is. I say yep, that's the way it's gonna stay too. I get enough noise listenen when I drive the 01. I like to listen to the radio more than the engine and I certainly don't need to hear the turbo. Get enough of that in the real diesel rig.
Our hearing goes soon enough, might as well not accelerate the loss.

Active air is a CAI...

Besides the EGR does a nice job warming the air back up

But as others have said, a CAI is a waste of money and potentially a waste of a warranty. They also can cause MAF faults, which won’t be covered by warranty even if the engine warranty isn’t jeopardized.

Unless you’re planning a full delete don’t do anything to the drive train.

If you really want to spend some cash get a Edge Insight CTS2 for S&G monitoring, but that is 100% for fun as there is nothing you need to monitor on these new trucks.
