2018 Ram 5500

I purchased the truck from an individual who towed a trailer with electric over hydraulic brakes. My trailer has electric brakes only. I want to change the setting from the Heavy EOH setting to Heavy Electric. Unfortunately, when I adjust the display to the trailer brake setting, I can't seem to find a way to go from the current EOH to Heavy Electric. In fact, the Heavy EOH display is quite faint in the display, not unlike what you might find on a computer screen where scrolling over a lightly colored icon can't be clicked by the mouse. Is it possible that my current trailer simply isn't compatible with the ITBM system?

I don't know about the '18 but my '21 uses the radio screen to change the settings. I assume you are trying to use the dash screen?

Both of my 2020 trucks are like this. Both the EcoD and the Cummins gotta go thru the radio.

LOL...going through the radio?? Never heard of such a thing. Would you mind providing the direction, or is it obvious? Where do I start? My radio has a bazilion different settings.

Ooof... I just read the 2018 manual. Does yours have a touch screen radio or non-touch screen radio?

My 18 had the 8.4” w/out nav at it was adjusted there.

Sorry, I just stumble around and finally find it. I have to read the book every time I need to set the oil/fuel filter minders

Thank you, gentlemen. That was one of the easiest corrections I've ever made. You have no idea how much hair I pulled out trying to follow the instructions in the User Guide.
