Well, this is a bit of a delayed post. I traded my 2010 SRW 3500 for a 2018 DRW Max Tow last March

. What a difference.

gtoli, you running bags or is your pin weight VERY light?
The 5th wheel is not hitched in the pic I posted. It sits level when it is hitched. If you look at my avatar pic, you can see how it rides when it is hitched.
This rig has a little over 6k load rating and 30k towing. Hopefully more than I will ever need.

2018 Goat 3500, Tradesman, Crew Cab, Long bed, DRW, Aisin trans, 4.10 limited slip, Max Tow, 5th Wheel prep, Granite Crystal and still Stock.

With these new trucks leaving them stock is what most people now do! And with a duallie, running antlers up all the time makes good sense.

It is not nonsense. The mirrors when down have the spot mirror giving one a large vertical view. In antlers up the spot mirror gives one a large more desired horizontal view. I almost hit a small car the second day driving the new truck home for Colorado in 2015 in traffic in Boise, Id. So I stop at a truck stop and added a little mirror to the arms.

Depends on which side of the fence you're standing on.
No sence to me to have to get in and out of my truck to flip the mirrors every time I drive in and out of my garage.

The spot mirrors in the "UP" position work far better than with the mirror down. It's simply the radiuses design of the mirror. Mirror up gives far more side to side visibility.

If they worked the same up or down I would run mine down unless towing, they don't so mine are UP all the time.

Better go out and look through your mirrors up and down.

Down has a far broader range of view. The convex has less.

Up the mirrors have less side view but reach around a trailer you are towing. The convex has a wider view for trailer towing.

I run with mine down for broader viewing and use the convex for blind spot.

You can do as you want I'll do what's best for me.

You guys do know the convex mirrors are adjustable right?

I hated the 4th gen design at first, until I realized I could adjust the convex portion. All is better now.

Read what I said. I was referring to the spot mirrors. They have much more visibility with the mirrors in the up position.

I see plenty in the standard mirrors in the up position.
