2019 Laramie Questions

Recently purchased a 2019 Laramie Megacab and have a few questions.
1) When driving @ night, the courtesy floorboard light on the passenger side comes thru around the upper glovebox door! Doesn't seem normal and it's a distraction. From past experience, my 14&16 model Laramies didn't do this, wondering if there's a shield or seal missing??
2) I always ran a fuel cap from Geno's on my other trucks, but this 19 has ribs in the filler neck, anyone making a nice cap like that or selling the older filler neck so I can continue to use this cap I have? I do NOT want a locking cap..

Here you go, strait from Geno's. Don't let the styrofoam on the bottom fool you, it's only there to protect the cross ribs on the bottom that help keep it tight in the neck, works great. As far as the light I'll check next time I driving at night.

The light you're seeing is actually supposed to be there.... It's accent lighting that follows that trim lip across the entire dash, There are 2 dimmer wheels by the headlight knob.. One of them is for the instrument lighting and the other is for the accent lighting (footwell lights, strip across the dash, door handle pockets etc). Geno's now has a nice locking fuel cap for the 19' trucks... I got both Fuel and DEF caps from them and they work great... they lock but it's a simple mechanism.

I saw the locking ones on Geno's, I'm just lazy and hate having to get keys out. Was hoping I could buy one similar to the one for my previous pickups. (Aluminum w magnet from Geno's)
Not worried about fuel theft as much as I am water/dirt getting into my fuel tank.

Nothing to worry about, the one that fits, is not lockable.

I really like the lockable for diesel Fuel, and Def lockable as well; some times I park at launch ramps in remote locations I want to be trouble free period just one saftey measure.
