HELP! TDR Magazine Issue # 56

The truck was built from the ground up as a tow rig. As far as diesels go, it runs very cold. I have removed the fan for winter and the intercooler AND put in a solid piece of sheet metal closing the entire grill, and I taped my airfilter half closed. Helps, but I wanted to try a hot T-stat for winter. I'll put my 190 back in in the spring, or if the hot one decides it wants to try to melt my engine.

if i could figure out a way to run a good external oil cooler, i'd be all over a +200 t-stat. hot water temp ok for me. hot oil temp not ok for me.

i wonder if there is any other application of the isbe that runs a remote oil filter setup so the existing cooler would remain in the block, but instead of a head hanging off the side of it for oil filter, would have a pair of orb ports for hoses... ? [pump>stock cooler>remote filter>external cooler>engine. how i want to run]

Picked up a Stant version for a '94 Powerstroke. Yeah, I know.

64 mm outer dai. ring might have to mill it down and machine the housing. Be fun to try and see what happens.
