Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 241HD tcase seals

Where can I get the front & rear output shaft seals for my tcase.



The stealership wants 44 bucks each, and the NAPA ones are way too small... . probably for the 241 (almost . 250" too small).

NAPA can get you the correct seal. Also some of the Tcases have a double row ball bearing on the input. While you are at it check out the snap ring on the output shaft especially if you have a single piece driveshaft. There is an after market collar called Transfer case saver that you can use to replace the snap ring if you like.

I got the 2 pc one... that's why it's out... . to replace the center support bearing while the clutch is getting changed



problem is, I need the seals by friday at the latest. I'll try napa, as I have to return the two seals I have here anyway

Try transfer case express. I got a new 'bigger' input shaft from them.

NAPa can only get the front. the rear is a dealer only item according to Chicago Rawhide (NAPA's supplier).



I ended up getting them from the stealership, but at wholesale prices, so it wasn't THAT bad.

go to carquest and ask for seal #22029 that will probably do the job my transfure case is a 242dhd look on your tag on the top rear side by the filler plug
