Pistons need to be changed and a complete injection line set custom made. The intake manifolds and exhuast manifolds are different. Air horns are different. That is all I can think of, but seems to be enough to make you want to buy a 24V donor engine to part out.
I dont see why the pistons would have to be changed... . the chamber in the top of the piston is in the center..... the 12 valve injector tips are made to spray flat even though they are angled... . call diesel dynamics... . they do conversions, because what do I know!
Well, are we overlooking the fact that your camshaft is driving 12 valves, and you are attempting to switch to a head with 2 more valves per cylinder, without the ability to open or close those 12 extra valves??

So it would appear that other than the injector routing, the main question is the pistons? I know the cam isn't a problem, I've seen a 12 valve that ran a 24 valve cam in it.
The pistons need to be changed. The 24v piston has the chamber in the center of the piston. The 12v piston is located off-center. My guess is that if you didn't change the pistons, you would not be taking full advantage of the head.
From the looks of it, other than that it is purely bolt on. Then you need injection lines from the P7100 to the 24v head location.
