Hey guys, i have heard that of a 24v head being put on our motors. I was wondering how hard this is to do. What is nessesary to complete the swap. And what are the flow difference of the two heads. Is one year of the 24v better than anyothers? Just looking for more flow. Thanks guys.

I may be wrong, but I don't think a 24 valve head will bolt onto a 1st gen 12 valve block (help me out here greenleaf). I believe the bolt pattern is different.

Definately cheaper to port the head. I dunno about the bolt pattern, but remember you'd have to have custom fuel lines made and I'm sure they wouldn't be cheap. I don't think any year flows better, but the newer ones (2000 or 2001 and up) have pressed in valve guides, the older ones didn't. Not that big of a deal. I have a 2001 head on my truck.

it would bolt on but you would need to change your pistons and the exhaust manifold and the inj pump may not work well because it has lower pressure then vp44. . it could be done but lots of $ and stuff to change. . not much machining though if any. .
