OK, im about to purchase a stock 02 6spd regcab, my bomb list is as follows

gauges (of course)

vulcan big line/ LP

BHAF/outerwear

flo pro 5inch

SBC con FE... ... ... ... . for starters...

the big question is, will a smarty be too much for the above set up or should i stack a tst/ez... .

also does a smarty surge like the catcher ecms ive read about?

sorta new to the whole double valve deal so bear with me...

thanks in advance/sorry if my questions are unclear...

Bombs away!!!

I would definitely recommend the Smarty as one of the first steps. The truck really comes alive with just the Smarty. When you are ready add a TST box if you are after loads of power.

sounds good to me. still are there any surge issues with the smarty or when stacked with a tst... .

i just want to be fore warned about different parts and there pros and cons before i go emptying my wallet, i really dont want to be buying things twice... or junk.

No surging with mine but you will probably need the clutch first. Unless you can keep it off the big numbers. I would recommend the Smarty then the fuel box also. Have at it!

The only surging issues I can recall were stacking Smarty with a Comp & big sticks. Not many people had that problem. I would recommend going with EDM injectors instead of the fueling box. Power comes on smoother that way. The con ofe is a little smoother than the con fe so unless you are going for big power you might consider that option. Give one oef South Bends dealers a call about that.
