Ok I'm a little new here and also a little new to the CTD World

I have a 94 2500 4WD with an 8" FIsher Plow. The springs have been getting weak in the front and the last straw was last week when I put the plow on it.

My question is on replacement parts and how hard a job it is to due it as I can't have the tires rubbing while plowing and trying to turn.

I have found a set of TRW Springs for a 94-96 Reg CAb with a V-10

will these fit my truck?

I've also read in this site about d25 springs and also dealer replacements 46's and 47's.

Whats my best option as Snow is supposed to be here next week again and I need to due something.

Anybody got a set of HD"S they don't need?

Joe.

Changing out the springs is easy enough - just unbolt the sway bar, take out the shock, and use a floor jack to lower the axle and unload the spring.

Skyjacker sells a spring that will give you an extra lift to level the truck. Can't say about the TRW springs for a V10 - given the weight of a Cummins I wouldn't put anything in that didn't specifically list the diesel Ram as an application.

Any members in your area that have installed a lift kit? Any shops that install lifts? A newer set of stock springs would be quick and easy and probably A LOT cheaper, if not free! I have a set from my 2001 2500 4x4, but shipping would be ugly. Anyone closer looking for some stockers let me know.

I would have thought a set from the dealer would have been the way to go however after 45min of arguing with the 20yr old parts punk that has all the answers I was ready to kill him.

I was told by him as well as his boss that i didn't want to change out for anything other than came with it which was a 36 RF and a 37 LF. I did find out after going back and forth that 48's are no longer available from Dodge. So I asked for a price on a 46&47. . After being told again that they wouldn't fit I finally got a price of 184 for the 46 and 187. 50 for the 47 at which time I told them they were out of thier minds in so many words and left. . For that kind of money I can get a set aftermarket that should do me from SkyJackers or others out there. I'm headed to the parts for sale section to see whats listed there. .

Any other opinions I would Appreciate. .

Joe.
