I would like to trade my 03 2500 for a 15. I will probably regret the mileage aspect of this but nothing else perhaps.

1. I am towing a 10K 27-5L Artic Fox with motor cycles so not as heavy as some of you. I still think I should go with the 3500, aisin, air bags but does the 3500 ride that much harsher than the 2500 with air. Is the air all the way around in the 2500 and just bags in the back on the 3500 like I put in my 2500.

2. Who is the best dealer to work with on the west coast. I am in Reno. Talked with Dave Smith and they were already 10K below MSRP.

3. Laramine vs Longhorn. What is the difference?

Did you consider Carson Dodge, Reno Dodge or a Sacto Area Dealership? You could bring in a quote from Dave Smith and see if they could meet or beat it. I purchased a used 2011 3500 with 40k miles from Smith last July and had a horrible experience when the transmission gave out on my way home. I ended up trading it in for a new 2014 2500 Tradesman at Legacy Dodge while I was stuck in La Grande, Oregon for a week. I could have possibly saved $$$$$ and headaces by buying locally.

Mention Dillon and Dave Smith the will get your local dealers attention.

If you like the LongHorn and order one be sure to specify the stitching if you want it.

I would get the 3500 with Aisin and rear air.

No TPMS alarm on the 3500. May want to look at Dillon in Idaho.

What is "TPMS". My 03 is so simple I probably dont have it :)

Is it true that the rear springs when you get the air are softer or do they just add bags. for 1600 dollars I can install a lot of air bags but if there are different rated springs then might have to go with that to dial in where i am looking comfort wise vs load

Dave Smith is starting at cost then subtracting 2500 incentive, 1900 hold back and I can probably even get a veteran discount as well. They are coming in the ballpark of 10K what you see when you price on line.

Look on the RAM website they have pictures of the rear air ride for the 3500 SRW and DRW. One spring each side with bags.

My actual cost was $1,356 for the rear air ride. Well worth it if it works as advertised. Level truck whether loaded or solo.

"TPMS" is tire pressure monitoring system.

Just remembered my other question. I i go with the dodge 5th wheel kit will my existing reese 16K 5th wheel hitch mount as I went with and the bed mount so that my bed is clean when I remove my hitch.

Yes, your 16K Reese hitch will work on the picture frame adapter that mounts into the 4 puck holes on trucks with GN/5er prep package....I have the picture frame adapter and have my Reese 20K Signature hitch mounted to it...I can remove the hitch and the picture frame adapter and have a clean bed.

You can also bypass picture frame adapter, IF you want to can your 16K 5er hitch and purchase a hitch that has legs on it that will also lock down into the 4 puck holes of prep package.

Factory prep ordered on my 15 and it will be sporting a new B&W RVK3600 rated at 25K towing and 6,250# pin weight.

Go to E trailer look up the hitch and they have a video.

Those leaf springs are evidently the answer to the "Unstable Load" with the bags being so far inboard.

Too bad they could not have figured out a better way to do it.

I think I have been predicting this from the get go! What is the old adage about not buying the first year of a new model or being FIRST! Cummins12V98 can you refuse delivery on your new truck if you do not like it? 3500 Air bait and switch??? This looks nothing like the original design!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SNOKING

Here is the earlier design!

Houston, WE HAVE A PROBLEM!

Stability must have been an issue like I noted from the get go.

The difference in the Laramie vs. the Longhorn, both are Laramie's but the leather in the Longhorn appears to be a better quality even though the Laramie + has, or had, a higher MSRP. If you do not like the two tone paint of the LH get the truck in the monotone single color. But as others have stated here if you are going for the high end truck the LH leather is or appears to be a better quality than the Laramie.

The LongHorn is far superior to the Laramie. It's what you would fine in a high end luxury car.

The above is what I made my decision on not what is actually coming out of the factory. Will have a talk with the salesman.
