255/85 R16 on Stock 8" wheels?

I have a 2001 SLT that has the 8" Aluminum wheels with 265/75. I would like to go up in size but do not like the wide tire look.



Does anyone run the Toyo M55 in 255/85 on an 8" wheel? I know the specs. say it will fit but does it look OK?



For daily driving cornering performance, comfortable ride, would I be better off with a BFG A/T 285/75 over a M55 255/85?



Any opinions would be appreciated.

Tons 'o 255 threads



I run them but have a 3500. They should be fine with an 8 inch rim. In fact they should even have a straight wall appearence.

I am running BFG MT 255/85 on my truck now. I'll give you a call this week and you can check them out. Besides, it will be a good opportunity for you to see the T-REX stuff as well.

That's a great tire size. I run Kelly MSR's in that size. I rubbed 285/75's but 255/85's spin freely. Sidewall looks just right to me.

I have kelly 255's on mine with no problems. They fill the wheel wells up nicely - lots of compliments.
