I know that I read this in a thread some where but can not find the thread using the search function. Can I get the 255/85/16 and/or 285/75/16 to fit in the spare area WITH a MagHiTech differential cover. I am leaning towards purchasing TOYO M55 LT255/85R's. Thanks in advance for any input

Mine fits fine except for slight contact w/jardine 4" exhaust. When we installed it I had a stock tire under there and configured it to clear stock spare. My stock exhaust would clear a 285 should it should be a go.

My 255 rubs a little on the RIP's exhaust. If you position while pulling the tire up, you can gain a little clearance in different directions. Don't know about the Mag Hitech cover though.

Do you have a mag hi-tech diff. cover? Also are you talking about 255 or 285 tire? Thanks for your replys. .

Yes I do have the Mag-Hytec! Either tire fit with my stock exhaust, but when I installed my Jardine exhaust I had a 245 spare back there temporarily and screwed up and failed to adjust the 4" exhaust to accomodate the bigger tires. So now the bigger spare tire(255 or 285) contact the exhaust slightly causing a slight dimple from low temp friction or whatever on the tire. No problem though. Have your 255 or 285 mounted back there before final tighten down, or better yet talk to your distributor.
