Hey Derek, I had a set of 265 75 16's before and they just barely rub . I have a 1/4" aluminum spacer between the rims I purchased from the tire store and never had any problems.
I switched to 255 85 16's, They are about 2 inches taller and the same width. That would work good with your 4:10 gears.
Tire manufacturers vary so much that one set of tires will rub and one won't with identical sizing, so you'll have to measure the width of each tire or have a tire dealer willing to mount and dismount tires for you so you can decide how much rub is acceptable.
I have had duals rub for 4 years without any problem, even with a 4000lb camper and a 25 ft trailer behind that. Just make sure to run plenty of air pressure and you'll do fine... ... Jim
