I would like to try and fit this in place of my 53 block. Might take a little grinding, but I'm sure it would turn heads! :--)

A guy that i do business with has two of these sitting side by side. They are hooked up to a couple of generators. They are pretty awesome to see run. There is a turbo for every 4 cylinders.

Why such a small engine? How about the QSK78-L? 10157 lb-ft @ 1500 RPM, and 3500 hp @ 1900 RPM. 18 cylinders.

But, you know, if you think you'll be happy with the little 16-cylinder, that's alright too. :-laf

We have a freshly rebuilt and painted 78 sitting in our shop right now, but it's onan green :D

It was like a $150k overhaul!

Talk about keeping your fuel clean! And the six turbos! Just for curiosity, what does one of those suckers run new? Does it beak half a million?

On another site someone said that a C32 (about 1300hp) Caterpillar, was around $750,000 bare and around $1mil complete with radiator, intercooler and all piping and wires. That should give you an idea.
