Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 275hp RV injectors and HY35 ETGS??

Will I run into an EGT problem if I add 275hp injectors to my truck??? I currently have an HY35 and an Edge EZ with nothing done to the waste gate on the HY35???

modify the wastegate and be done with it

I ran BD2's and VA on the HY35 with no egt problems at all



Towing with 275's and Va with the HY35 and turnbuckle was

Disable the wastegate & get a 3" straight through muffler. See my Sig. I can only get to 1250 towing a 8500lb boat foot partially planted in the firewall

I have the same set up except I have the original power edge box that doesnt alter timing, just fueling. Towing 8000 lbs plus up steep grades holding 20lbs of boost or more I had EGT's at 1200 degrees. Runs like a champ. EGT's in check.

Just make sure you have boost/egt gauges and you should be fine. You might have some transmission problems... but the EGT should be okay.

Should be fine....

With the EZ & DD2's I had no egt problem. That's with a 11K lb. truck as a daily driver. Used the turnbuckle with a spring to slow the waste gate. The injectors forced the transmission upgrades though.
